Third time in Toronto but still not feeling the To vibe, though the Kensington Market has a chilled grassroots atmosphere. The boutique bakeries in the bustling market are after my heart and I fell into a short lived love affair with a yeasty broad.

Cheaply constructed chinese mountain bikes escorted us throughout the city upon our quest for tasty eats. Lazy days in the sun complemented busy nights out and well... about. Of course we were drawn southward to Niagara to follow in the footsteps of Nel, Kowalski and Micro to enter the renowned Belly of the Beast. Nestled within the voluminous folds of thorny vegetation and mossy rocks lies the massive outfall. Belly of the Beast is the ugly step sister, forever peering through the mist at the glorious falls bathed in the spotlight. For tourists the falls steal the show but for a few this is a Cinderella story.

Gremlin and I didn't attempt to retake Micro's superb pano shot. My poor imitation wouldn't even flatter.

If you liked this try...

After dark the city is ours.
From secret tunnels to rancid sewers, subways, bridges and space relics, if it's adventure you want you'll find it here. The city is our playground, the city as you've never seen it before.

So ummm you are shooting on film? You said that you sent your digicam back home a while ago. I like the results of half of these photos - are there two different films used here or just some crap on your lense for a few of these shots? My recent shots are good but I need better quality from my film and the contrasts in these shots are great ... what film are you using?

p.s. just so you don't take offense - the shots I think are a bit off are 1, 2, 4, & 8 ... they just seem to be a bit washy like oil on a lense, shit film, fungi on your lense, or maybe just an odd refraction on your lense?

1&2 are Fuji Fortia 50, the rest a mix of Fuji 160s and 160c. To me 5 & 8 could use some level tweakage but the rest appear okay on my (uncalibrated) monitor. I'm less concerned with technical quality these days, and photography is becoming even more secondary to actually exploring stuff. I like it that way.

respect intended - they're all amazing shots and I still have a lot or work to do to even come close to dsankt's mad tekneeks - I was just interested in the film 'cause the quality in most of these photos is rad. will do some more experimenting :)
