Why do you think it is in brisbane? All cities need drainage.
Looks a bit mazish to me...
I love red-brick mummies, only thing that beats it is blue stone....

Sure, you've been in it. You really liked it, your tripod didn't :P
is this the old drain that runs from what is now [place], runs under [street] and enters the river under the [feature] ?
Christine, you are correct. Keep it to yourself please.

First I noticed the tags on cool old bricks tunnels, then the jocking came to my attention. Absofuckinglutelyincredible.

Haven't you seen 'The Shining', man?
Why the problem of tagging? It is part of draining culture. Personally, some drains shouldn't be tagged. But every one to them selfs. Good photo and nice drain.
drains like this amaze me im a bricklayer and even i scratch my head at how they built it
This is dated back to the 1850/1860's actually... one of the first drains built for the purpose of displacing stormwater in Brisbane. Wonder how long it took them to build these suckers!
that sure is tasty looking. Love the color too.
How far up from the river exit is this?
Not far enough the, toys have reached it.
