The construction of the lower walls show an amazing attention to detail. Each corner is squarely cut, and the stones fit together almost perfectly. All this effort just to carry stormwater. At some stage the sandstone canal was capped with the redbricks. Bulb, f5.6 Fuji Sensia 100

just stumbled across your website and am impressed with the photos i think they look awesome. i'm just startin a project with similar style images but its set in england and i dress the models up in period clothing like victorian dresses. it makes quite interesting images with the the modern day urban culture and the period clothing.

It's a bit poignant looking at this now, having propped up lights in those sidepipes. One less mystery in the world.

Were you happier before or after the mystery dissolved?

Well, it's a trade-off. Infatuations are temporary, and either you progress to a deeper understanding, or the feelings drift away anyway. Find the drain, or let it become just another photo. Put it in the "you'll grow up whether you want to or not" category. Deep as this drain's outfall on a king tide, I know :)
