keep an eye out for this one (lights to turn pink for breast cancer awarness, should last two weeks) should look wicked.
Very impressive, great composition. Luv yer werk!
I read about that, I'd say the pink bridge will be the subject of a lot of photographs.
I like the golden lights in this shot.
Wow! this is a really kool photograph. Looking at your stuff makes me want to be a photographer:D
trying to get to Creek St, we took a man-hole from Wimpole St, Spring Hill and ended up.....(drumroll)... here.
Saw 1973 newspaper clippings (pre-flood!), rat, lizard, eel, roach...
Pain in the arse, literally. Croucharsetastic.
The drain is known as 1973, and that's exactly why. Did you trek down to the other river exit? The sandstone mummy section is quite surprising :)
Duh- K. I get it now. 73.
I was born in 81, which may explain my 80's cocaine-brain.
We were so upset by our rebirth into the Brisbane river that we decided not to head back in.
Look for us on the news- Im sure we will be arrested soon trying to find that goddamn bridge.
Good luck with finding that bridge (if you're talking about the old one across Creek Street), I never did. I suspect it was demo'd during the conversion of the Wheat Creek culvert into a drain. Either that or it's buried.
this would be a great site to take pics of riverfire from, a totally different angle than the usual
amazing photos by the way - makes me want to get out an explore
Pity this view is now blocked, some ass put a boat ramp and dock in. It made access easier now though, just rope ladder in from the dock.
found this drain this morning after looking on the site. Was disappointed that the Mirimar now docks in front of it! I suppose the 80 year old boats earn'd its resting spot tho! Ill have to get into that drain one night soon.
Shame it's changed so much, it was such a picturesque spot. Could you know, move the Mirimar...
